It started with an Idea!
Dr Soumick Sikdar started the pharmaceutical consulting business in 2012 from a small office in Bell Street, Maidenhead to fulfil the Pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and quality management issues to pharmaceutical industries. Within the next 2 years the company started setting up its operation outside of UK, in India and Europe. With the team across the globe and with a cumulative 20+ years of experience, we have solved complex regulatory problems and implemented multiple regulatory and pharmacovigilance solutions across the worldwide pharmaceutical business.
Setting up a wholesale and distribution business was only an idea until 2019 and it all originated to provide solutions to consulting clients requiring storage and distribution services in UK.
The Beginning!
Clydesdale Pharma was founded and incorporated in July 2019. The company acquired it first premise Unit-3 Campbell Court in Tadley, in a small town located in Hampshire between Basingstoke and Reading. It is from this location the company intended to initiate its pharmaceutical distribution operation. During 2019 the company applied for its Wholesaler and dealer's authorisation from MHRA to distribute pharmaceutical products from this facility in Tadley.
With this, the company started the preparation of its first time ever quality management system.
Setting up the framework
With the approval of the Wholesale dealer's authorization from the UK MHRA to the Unit-3, Clydesdale Pharma, the company started its operation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During 2020 Clydesdale Pharma also acquired several UK generic licenses with the objective to manufacture and distribute them in the UK. As a result, the company extended its operation by acquiring the Unit-4 Campbell Court facility in Tadley. The intention to obtain Manufacturer importer and Authorization (MIA) and GMP certified analytical laboratory. This would allow the company to perform analytical testing activities as well as importation of goods from non-EU countries and perform batch release activities.
The Launches!
Clydesdale started launching its own generic product in UK during 2022 and started supplying to country's nationwide retail pharmacy stores as well as NHS hospitals across the country.
As the business expanded, Clydesdale extended its business operation to include unit-5 Campbell Court, Tadley.
Expansion and being global!
The company continued to launch more generic products in the UK.
As a result of further growth, the company has extended its operation to include additional storage premise to Unit-11 Campbell Court for its operation.
Additionally, Clydesdale started registering products to overseas territories leading to first time as a truly global company.
